Believe It or Not, A Little Sick of Socks

So instead, I've been working on this. It's Audrey. It looks a little small on the needles -- I'm making the second smallest size -- but stretched I think it will fit just right. One doesn't want this sweater to sag. Can't say enough nice things about Cathay! It's really lovely. Lately, I've been having this late night nervous insomnia thing. Working a little K2, P2 rib in cotton-silk-microfiber will put your mind at rest, though.

About the Mystery yarn ... I've said it before, Jessie is a genious. Anna asked if the yarn is as soft as it looks. Indeed it is. Jessie's sock yarn is so beautifully dyed, and it has nice springiness, as Christine pointed out in an email. I can't wait to see this yarn in person, and methinks it may become a pair of Badcauls.

Your Audrey is knitting up beautifully! I love that color... someone actually brought some Cathay to our SnB, so I had a chance to fondle some in person. It is certainly all that you've said it is and then some. ;-) I hid my credit card out of sight to remove any temptation before I clicked on your blog. Those links! ;-) I think Jessie's yarn would be beautiful as a pair of Badaculs. Hope you're sleeping and feeling better... insomnia's no fun! Take care, Laura! :-)

Audrey is going to be lovely in that color! Cathay sounds like a good sub.

Insomnia is the pits. I hope you get some sleep soon.

I hate to say it but I'm a little sick of socks, too ;o) I've been shopping around for something a little different...

I live with insomnia - try chamomile tea ;o) Ribbing usually does it for me, too *grin*

The mystery yarn would make gorgeous Badcauls :o)

Thanks for the kind words!

I LOVE that Audrey pattern. Open necklines are so flattering. I don't see any projects for myself in the near future, but that one is on my list.

Gasp! The powerful and terrifying Cult of Sock Knitters will make you very sorry for daring to say such things! Shhh!

Audrey looks to be such a lovely pattern. I can't wait to see the finished creation.

Umm, should we start a Knitter's Insomnia Ring? I so hear you. . . . Smelly valerian herbal tea works wonders.
