Celebrating Chez Affiknitty

Thank you all so much for all your kind thoughts and comments about my last post. I fully intend to answer each one of you ... if you don't get a response from me, it's because I can't find an email address for you.

But, in the meantime, I thought I'd share some news.

I passed the Bar Exam!

I feel a little like I did this.

And now I think I will celebrate by spending the morning playing with this.

Woo-Hoo! My husband and I both went to law school and took the bar in the past few years (law is a second career for both of us). There is nothing like the anxiety leading up to the bar exam, and the even worse anxiety of those last few days before results are finally posted--unless it's the remind-yourself-to-breathe-anxiety of actually reading your results for the first time. You can exhale now--the climb is OVER! Congratulations.

Congratulations! What an accomplishment...you should be proud.

And a belated Thank You for the link to Mason's essay on Austism. My oldest son, Patrick, was diagnosed with PDD-NOS as a toddler and later with Asperger's Syndrome. There isn't a day that goes by that we don't deal with it, but I am also always grateful that he doesn't have classic Autism, because I cannot imagine life without his smile and his unique wit. He is going to be 14, and the social aspect of it is getting rough. But I know we have it easier than some. Thanks for the insight into his world.
