Thanks & Winners
Thanks everyone for the fabulous recommendations! I'll be summarizing them for easy reference over the next four posts. So, really, we all get pressies! Yay!
Were I a woman of affluence, you'd all be getting free yarn. But, sadly, I must rely on the random number generator. Heather of The A.D.D. Knitter and Karen of Yearns for Yarn are the lucky knitters!
Winners should head on over here and pick out a skein of Glacier, then email me with your choice and your snail mail address.
Meanwhile, the first June Carter swirl sock is done!
You all are so sweet and encouraging to suggest that I could finish that other Cherry Bomb sock in the time remaining to me. But, seriously, I have two problems: one, I am a very slow knitter.
And, two, I am constitutionally incapable of remaining monogamous to my projects.

Yeehaw! That's a gorgeous sock!
Wow, your sock pal is going to b *thrilled*. That sock is insanely cute!
And I love the new top. What yarn are you using?

The sock is beautiful! I'm so glad to have another DK sock pattern at my disposal. I'm currently knitting a baby sock with fingering weight yarn, and I can't imagine knitting an adult-size sock.
Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you so much!;)
And believe me, I hear you on the whole 'constitutionally incapable of remaining monogamous' thing...I just cast on for a shawl yesterday, something I have absolutely no business doing at all!!
The sock looks awesome!
That color of CottonEase looks completely different on my screen than it does in person. Wow!
Gorgeous sock!
Fifi in cotton-ease? What a great idea!
I think you're doing the smart thing about the socks. Finishing=good! And you started the Fifi! Can't wait to see how that comes out.
I absolutely love that sock, and that's saying something because my resistance to variegation is STRONG.
(Oh, and Fifi jumped onto my needles without asking permission too.)
I jsut scored some Calmer for a Fifi myself!
Purty swirl sock!
And congrats on starting a new project! (That's what we want to hear, right? Not, "Hey, you're a hussy!") It's looking lovely already.
Your sock looks fabulous!!!
I know exactly what you mean. With so many great patterns out there it is so *tough* to just stick to one thing! :0)
Speaking of not remaining monogomous to one pattern thanks to you I cast on for my very own swirl sock this weekend! The combined power of the internet and the wonder that is cider moon and I just can't stick to one project!
I too find it difficult to stick with one project! Lucky for us, there are so many fabulous choices:) The sock is adorable and I love the fifi sweater. It will look great in your yarn choice! Where is the pattern from?
I jsut bought that pattern. What yarn are you subbing with? That doesn't look like a skein of Calmer......oh, never mind - I read the other comments. Great idea.
How's the sock fit? I like the pattern, but I was afraid that the ridge would rub on the shoe.
Can't say it enough, LOVE June Carter!!
