Another Recommendation

Plain stockinette, toe-up socks are highly recommended knitting when your team is playing in a nail-biter.

I have a feeling I'll be making quick work of these in the next week. Just another reason October is for socks. But not Red Sox.

The only reason I consent to attend sporting events at all is the promise of uninterrupted knitting time. However, I am not above wishing your team the best of luck!

Plain socks are great for nailbiting sports events - I knitted socks while watching the All Blacks lose at the weekend. Love that yarn, is it another one of the Kaffe Fasset ones?

@ Knitography & Mary: yes, this sock yarn is one of the Regia Kaffe Fassett self-striping yarns. I got it at the Loopy Ewe (link on the sidebar).

I have lots of uninterrupted knitting time now that my Brewers (sniff whaaaaaaaaaa) are out of it. I'm happy for you Cleveland fans, though! Oh - and nice colorway on the socks.

I'm always in support of a team that can disappoint the Yank-Mes... unless that team aspires to the defeat of my Red Sox. GO SOX GO!!! ;)

Dude I'm right there with you... I've got some playoff socks of my own going right now!

It's funny - my husband is rooting for the Indians but he grew up in Pittsburgh so he is a completely different kind of fan. He believes that when a fly ball goes up someone will catch it. I believe that everything that happens is an opportunity for disastor until it is an actual out/run/whatever. I have no faith that good things can happen in sports - ya know?

Beating the Yankees, though. That was definately GOOD.

Ah, dear. My beloved Rockies are blowing the socks off the sports world (pun totally intended in more ways than one), but one of my best friends, the person I'd probably watch the Series with, is... a Sox fan.

We have contemplated that we may have to come to blows at some point in the post-season.

It's sad to plan that sort of thing. Probably better to plan sox. Er... socks.

Totally with you on the plain vanilla knitting. Attempted to work on my Secret of the Stole while watching - had to kep tinking back because I'd lose my spot when something would happen and I'd look up. Freakin awesome that the Indians are winning though! GO TRIBE!!!!

Who can talk about knitting when the Indians are still playing?! (OK, maybe there IS room for both...) The Indians are the team of my youth, and since the Tigers are out of it, "Go Tribe!" Does Cider Moon have an "Indians" colorway? They should!
